Help with Reading Goals.
Most refresh issues can be resolved by confirming the public profile details and trying one fresh manual lookup.
Set up or refresh a profile
- Make the Goodreads or StoryGraph profile public.
- For Goodreads, copy the numeric user ID from the profile URL after
/user/show/. - Enter the Goodreads ID or StoryGraph username in Profiles.
- Confirm that you control the profile or have permission to access it.
- Select Save & Refresh. If you refreshed very recently, wait one minute before trying again.
StoryGraph browser checks
StoryGraph may occasionally require a visible browser verification during manual refresh. Complete the check if it appears and leave Reading Goals open while the requested public pages finish loading. Background refresh cannot present this browser step, so the last successful StoryGraph result is kept until a manual refresh succeeds.
Widgets and daily refresh
- After a successful refresh, widgets reload from the saved on-device summary.
- If a widget appears stale, open Reading Goals and select Save & Refresh.
- Daily refresh is optional and scheduled by iOS on a best-effort basis, so it may not run at an exact time.

If the problem continues, use the site contact form and include “Reading Goals” in your message along with your iOS version and a short description of what happened. Do not send passwords or private profile information.
